Memorial Day always
seems to come at a perfect time of year, for a much needed rest, and
remembrance to those who have served our country. We were able to "gather the
flocks!" and have a great bbq! I
think this is why I love being here the most, especially during the summer, as
we gather together as family and watch the cousins play and run around, and
grow:) I am not sure how much longer we
will all be together around here like this, hopefully longer rather than
shorter, as some have graduated or will be soon, and will be moving on to our
next chapters of life. I think we will
look back at these special times we were able to so easily and conveniently be
together.
My mom and I brought
back some cool Frisbees from the Target Store in Peoria, IL. The kids LOVED them! I think all the kids have a favorite thing
though, the four-wheeler. Braxton asks
about it almost everyday, and when all the cousins are over, they ALL want rides.
They receive SO much joy from grandpa
giving them rides!
It was also a great
weekend to remember both my grandfathers, and be able to think in a moment of silence,
for them both, and for not only their service to this country, but to their families
as well. Thank You!
