Slip and Slide

This past week one day was going to be particularly warm, and so I thought it would be fun to round up the troops and do the slip n' slide over at grandma and grandpa's!  We were out there for almost 4 hours!!!!!!  Who needs a pool when you have this right?!?!?!  They had a BLAST to say the least, and it was so fun to watch them!  Thank you Grandma & Grandpa for the fun slip n' slide & the pizza afterwards:)

Happy Daddy's Day!

For Father's Day we were able to round up the troops for yet another YUMMY and FUN BBQ.  I really think I could do this everyday, with everyone, and I feel like we really have to take advantage of this time we are all together like this!  This first picture is actually in order of oldest to youngest(minus Mason who is REALLY the youngest and should be on the end next to Merrick---so we may have to redo this picture in August:)  But it was so cool to see all the cousins together and to be here celebrating our Father's!  We were able to skype Britney so she could be a part of the gathering as well, and we tried doing FaceTime with Brent, but I think our internet wasn't strong enough outside, but he was there for a little bit too. 

I have to take some time to celebrate my husband, and my father, as they are two of some of the most strong and worthy examples to me of true manhood. I love them both, and have learned a great deal from them.  My Dad is the best, and it has been so rewarding to spend some special moments with him this past year, most of which I will never forget.  I could not have asked for a better Dad. 

And to my dear sweet husband, I know you would do anything for your family.  I know you would do anything for ANYONE, because that is who YOU are.  I love you, and cannot wait to watch our boys grow and learn and build a relationship with you, and strive to live and be like you.  You are my rock.

"I Made The Grade"

This morning my dad participated in the "I Made The Grade" bicycle ride.  We were estimating about 300 riders, and he came in 40th!!!  Wahoo!  It is so great to see these accomplishments and to be a part of them with him!  He has been training really hard in preparation for 3 more rides this summer, STP in July, Lentil in August, and Double Death Ride in October.  We love watching and cheering him on! 

Miss Amara!

Today we had the AWESOME privelidge of having both Aliah and Amara over for some fun! I was able to snag a few cute shots of Amara while Aliah and Braxton were having the time of their lives riding their bikes! Enjoy!

YAY FOR GOOD WEATHER!

Everyday that we have good weather, I take Braxton out in the mornings after breakfast for some bike riding.  I call it our morning exercise!!!  We have a really long sidewalk and a big basketball court right outside our front door!  Brax LOVES riding his bike!  Merrick and I usually hang out on the grass and enjoy the scenery! 

Oh Where Oh Where Has My Little Boy Gone...

So this is a little tribute to Merrick, he is actually 7 months old in these pictures, NOW he is 1 week shy of being 9 months old, but I thought I should post these.  As you can see,  Merrick has learned and now mastered the art of pulling himself up to a standing position, and just recently started venturing to "Crusie" along the couch and ottoman.  Where has my little boy  gone?!?!  His life has seemed to just FLY by, and sometimes I wonder if I am journaling enough about him, and taking the time to relish is his small and simple glories.  So, I am SO proud of him, and all the milestones he is making!  He has 6 teeth!!  He is such a JOY to have around, and still an amazing sleeper.  He has been such an easy baby, and we have been so blessed by his joyous and  happy self.  We love him dearly, and cannot believe he is almost a year old!  We have a 9 month check up coming soon, so I will post the stats about that later!
